Ryan’s scholarship focuses on the performance, direction, and history of musical theatre, especially the works of Stephen Sondheim.

Ryan moved back to Boston in 2021 and currently works as a freelance director, actor, producer, and theatre educator, currently serving on Bunker Hill Community College’s Acting faculty. Ryan is a proud member of the Actor’s Equity Association and the Musical Theatre Educator’s Alliance.
